Emphasize that this is NOT consistent problem , which is in itself part of the problem. Every once in awhile (1 out of every 15-25 logged in sessions ) I will be doing a search and sort out what I want to print. When I hit the PRINT button on left of screen Wah Lah !! I not only don't get anything printed I get shot off like a rocket from Innovia and find myself looking a my desk top. All input, all search criteria etc is lost and I have to relogin and start all over. This has been an ongoing problem, which I brought up when it first started and was told " it must be something you are doing". Well, call me an idiot - I may not be a computer guru, but I think I can handle a simple PRINT button. I really am annoyed by this but more important I find soooooo many inconsistencies with Innovia that this is maybe my major complaint. Whatever it's doing it does so inconsistently sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
been there done that, maybe we have the same kind of bad printer?? (kidding) i have it crash, when i go to anything in the use checked area. so wether it is print, email or sort, this pop up box is connected to the crash. happens- maybe 20-30 % of the time. ps. right now i am waiting for the prospect box to unlock, i went to add a prospect and hit ok, it froze. pss still frozen... pss took 5 min but it unfroze
Let me start off with a disclaimer...I am not a programmer and never said I was...lol.
However, I do have some "skills" I obtained through the years, so I will try to give you my input on the Print button log out mystery...
One day I was just clicking away and behold...the print button logged me out. Now for some crazy reason I tend to keep all my error reporting setting turned on if available.
The print mystery causes an error response from Java. I read it over and did some research. It appears that this error was caused by a combination of two main factors: 1) Low computer resources (memory and cpu) 2) Not running the most recent Java version
So, #2 was easy...I updated the Java Console to the latest version. #1 is a different story. I am using a new Dell Laptop fully loaded...so now the Tech Support excuse seems to be "oh, you're running Vista...that's your problem..."
Anyway, so far after updating Java I have not experienced the same problem with the print button logging me out...I would say it's worth a shot...
